General Information

Kai ora Koutou.
It is wonderful to return to CPS in 2022! Having taught for 20+ years from primary to intermediate, in a variety of teaching and leadership roles.

Learning is unique to everyone of us and finding the excitement and awe in what the world or knowledge has to offer is, I believe, the key to a happy life.

I am born and bred in the Waikato and live with my husband and our two children on a small farm, with a growing population of horses, cows and sheep!

Most of the time you will find me enjoying the outdoors.

General Information

I have been teaching for over 15 years and have worked both nationally and internationally at different levels. I have learnt from my experiences that successful learning starts with the student and making them feel valued and encouraging their voices to emerge.

Also, as a parent, I understand the importance we place on our children's learning. As a teacher and a leader, I welcome your support in helping create the best possible outcomes for your kids.

General Information

Kia Ora, my name is Josie Pullenger.

I am so excited to be teaching the Year 5/6 students in Room 2. I just moved back to Cambridge in 2021 with my husband Sam from Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates where I was teaching for the last two years. Before my time teaching in Abu Dhabi, I worked at Oropi School in Tauranga for 3 years teaching Year 4-6 students.

I love creating a safe, warm, and inviting learning environment where students are encouraged to have ownership over their learning and discover and develop their passions and strengths. I am so excited to be part of the Rutherford Syndicate and look forward to being part of the amazing CPS community!

In my spare time, I love traveling, playing netball, getting outdoors for walks and runs, and enjoy being creative through scrapbooking and card making.

General Information

I am currently teaching a year 5/6 class in Rutherford Syndicate.

I have held management positions in the past but decided that I enjoy being in the classroom best.

I love being with the children, introducing them to new things and watching their excitement as they discover what a wonderful world we live in.

I enjoy all subjects but my passions would be art and maths.

Out of school I enjoy, travelling, fishing, painting and cake decorating.
Every year I take on a new project, eg. last year it was metal jewellery making and at present it's gully restoration.

Next year, who knows?

I have been teaching at Cambridge Primary School for a number of years. I have had the privilege of working in many different areas of the school. CPS an amazing community to be a part of and I look forward to teaching year 4 and 5 students in Room 6 this year.

I really enjoy teaching, especially introducing children to new concepts and ideas in science and technology. It is great to see children challenging themselves and feeling success in their learning.

When I am not at school I enjoy hanging out with my husband and 3 kids. I read a lot and spend too much time online shopping.

General Information

I grew up in Cambridge, starting my teaching career here at Cambridge Primary School. This was followed by time teaching in the UK and travelling the world before returning to teach in New Zealand. I have experience across all year levels. I have a passion for learning through play and engaging my students in hands-on learning. By nurturing children’s interests and providing opportunities for individuals to share their ‘expertise’, encourages each student in my class to feel a sense of belonging.

I have two awesome young children, Olive and Marco. In my free time I enjoy yoga, spending time with friends and exploring our beautiful country with my family.
