General Information

Kai ora Koutou.
It was wonderful to return to CPS in 2022! Having taught for 20+ years from primary to intermediate, in a variety of teaching and leadership roles.

Learning is unique to everyone of us and finding the excitement and awe in what the world or knowledge has to offer is, I believe, the key to a happy life.

I am born and bred in the Waikato and live with my husband and our two children on a small farm, with a growing population of horses, cows and sheep!

Most of the time you will find me enjoying the outdoors.

General Information

I am currently teaching a year 5/6 class in Rutherford Syndicate.

I have held management positions in the past but decided that I enjoy being in the classroom best.

I love being with the children, introducing them to new things and watching their excitement as they discover what a wonderful world we live in.

I enjoy all subjects but my passions would be art and maths.

Out of school I enjoy, travelling, fishing, painting and cake decorating.
Every year I take on a new project, eg. last year it was metal jewellery making and at present it's gully restoration.

Next year, who knows?

General Information

I have been teaching at Cambridge Primary School for a number of years. I have had the privilege of working in many different areas of the school. CPS an amazing community to be a part of and I look forward to teaching year 4 and 5 students in Room 6 this year.

I really enjoy teaching, especially introducing children to new concepts and ideas in science and technology. It is great to see children challenging themselves and feeling success in their learning.

When I am not at school I enjoy hanging out with my husband and 3 kids. I read a lot and spend too much time online shopping.

General Information

Kia Ora, my name is Briar Cooper. I am currently working part-time here at CPS, as I have two young children at home. This year I am teaching year 1's in Room 16, Visual Arts elective on a Thursday, and Year 5/6's in Room 1. I have been teaching at Cambridge Primary for 12 years and absolutely love it. I enjoy working with children, watching the growth in their learning is so rewarding. I love supporting children in their transition into school. CPS is a place where children are motivated and actively engaged. Students feel safe, take risks, and we celebrate their successes.

My time outside of school is spent with my husband and our two kids, our dog Lunar and my extended whanaau and friends. In our spare time, we love to travel, spend time at the beach, on the boat and explore new places.
