Rutherford Teachers
Year 5 & 6
Rutherford Syndicate Leader, Teacher - Room 4 - Year 5 & 6
Kai ora Koutou.
It was wonderful to return to CPS in 2022! Having taught for 20+ years from primary to intermediate, in a variety of teaching and leadership roles.
Learning is unique to everyone of us and finding the excitement and awe in what the world or knowledge has to offer is, I believe, the key to a happy life.
I am born and bred in the Waikato and live with my husband and our two children on a small farm, with a growing population of horses, cows and sheep!
Most of the time you will find me enjoying the outdoors.
Teacher - Room 5 - Whaanau Class, Year 4, 5 & 6
Kia Ora. I have been teaching for 8 years and am currently teaching at CPS in the Rutherford syndicate. I grew up in Maungatautari, went to school in Cambridge and played for and coached Hautapu Sports.
I am a keen sportsman and although I no longer play competitive sport, I still enjoy some social sports such as touch, tennis and basketball. I have also coached representative Maori rugby, age grade and senior B's for Waikato. My other interests include acting, playing the guitar, jiu jitsu, boxing and mau rakau.
Teacher - Room 2 - Year 5 & 6
I am currently teaching a year 5/6 class in Rutherford Syndicate.
I have held management positions in the past but decided that I enjoy being in the classroom best.
I love being with the children, introducing them to new things and watching their excitement as they discover what a wonderful world we live in.
I enjoy all subjects but my passions would be art and maths.
Out of school I enjoy, travelling, fishing, painting and cake decorating.
Every year I take on a new project, eg. last year it was metal jewellery making and at present it's gully restoration.
Next year, who knows?
Teacher - Room 1 - Year 5 & 6
Kia ora!
I grew up in the Waikato and am excited to be teaching at Cambridge Primary School as a part of the Rutherford team.
I teach Music across the school as a part of our Thursday Arts Programme. Music is one of my biggest passions and I enjoy sharing this with students. I play the guitar and bass, and have played in various bands and with friends for most of my life.
Sports is another passion of mine. I like to spend my weekends surfing, but enjoy watching rugby, basketball, football, or almost any sport.
Teacher - Room 3 - Year 5 & 6
Kia Ora! My name is Carmel Stock. I have been teaching for many years both in Australia and New Zealand. My children have grown up in Cambridge and I love the wonderful opportunities that children can have in the Cambridge Community. I look forward to working alongside you and your family at CPS.
I am a Year 5/6 teacher, and I also work with the Kaahui Ako.
When I am not at school you will find me at the gym or playing tennis, walking my dogs or at the beach with my family.
