What happens when children are painting and in uniform?
Painting shirts are supplied by the school and teachers issue these to children who are painting. The Board is trying to source a better solution than painting shirts however.
What options do I have to purchase my child’s uniform?
All Sew Embroidery are happy to do cash by eftpos, lay-by or fit your child and bag the uniform for collection and payment at a later date. There is also a link from our website to All Sew Embroidery website where you can order directly. For the remainder of 2011 you could purchase the school uniform and use mufti for PE then purchase the PE uniform in January 2012. Another option is to purchase one of everything and see what you actually need two items of.
Are children shirts going to come home muddy after they play on the field at lunchtime?
All children are required to change into their PE uniform when playing games such as rugby, soccer, bull rush when on the field. (Old clothes are fine until the end of 2011).
Where can children get changed?
To date the Board has had installed around 80 hooks throughout all but the senior girls toilets. The toilets are now also cleaned twice per day and an eco-friendly deodoriser is used to remove the traditional toilet smell. Tables have also been placed in the toilets. The room between the boys and girls toilets off Blakeyard is currently being transformed into a boys changing room and will be completed by the end of Term 3. Spaces off Room 11 have been created for boys and girls changing. Part of the hall storage area is being turned into a changing area and this will be completed before the beginning of Term 1, 2012.
What happens if I want to sell my school uniform because I am leaving the school?
A book is kept at the school office where you can put your contact details, the details of what you are selling and the price you are asking for each garment. Other parents who are looking at purchasing can then access this book and make contact with you directly. The school will not be directly dealing with a second hand uniforms.
What can I do if my child’s shirt becomes stained?
Spot spraying is the first option. The blouses are of good quality and can be soaked in nappy san or bleach. This was one of the factors the Board considered when white shirts were chosen as part of the uniform.
How often will children be required to change each day?
Children will be required to change for PE or playing on the field in such games as rugby, soccer, bull rush. Children will be required to arrive and depart from school in full school uniform.
