Cambridge Primary School School Uniform Implementation
Process
As can be well imagined there are a myriad of factors taken into consideration in the process of implementing a new school uniform, especially when there isn’t a uniform already in place.
The selection and implementation process has had a 3 year timeline; this is in part to make sure we do justice to the process and our community as well as making sure parents have enough time to ready themselves for a time when the uniform becomes compulsory.
Some of the factors taken into consideration for the uniform at Cambridge Primary School were: Cost, availability, value for money, quality, public input, ease of care, longevity, aesthetics and something in keeping with the school motto of ‘Quality, Tradition and Innovation’ These factors all derived from feedback and requests from our school community.
Realising the huge undertaking this was, the Board of Cambridge Primary School Promptly enlisted the help of a cross sector from our school made up of, a parent, PTA member, staff member and a board member and thus, a uniform steering committee was formed. It was the sole responsibility of this committee to decipher all information gathered and source options for a suitable uniform taking into account the above factors and many more. There were many options presented to the board and we are proud to say that we have been able to bring to you the best possible uniform that best fits the criteria, keeping a strong focus on the best interests of the majority of our school community now and for the future.
Through the information provided on this page you will be able to gain insight into the process, what we have done, why it has been done and where we have arrived as a result.
